Activity: Make tricorn hats! Instructions and cutout pieces available through the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum (jfklibrary.org). Search “colonial couture” to download the pdf and watch a video tutorial. Before putting the hats together, ask each child three things they have learned or that they want to remember about the founding fathers and the constitution and write their answers on each side of the hat. Snack Suggestions: Fruit pizzas, you can let the kids frost and decorate with strawberries and blueberries for a patriotic look.
