Leading Moms Organization Calls on Senate to
Protect Women’s Sports
Moms for America hosted a press conference on Capitol Hill to urge the U.S. Senate to pass H.R. 734 to protect both women’s sports and female athletes. They were joined by Members of Congress as well as female athletes and their moms.

Abby is a member of Harvard Women’s Varsity Swimming, a Peer Advising Fellow for Government majors, a Prayer Group Leader in Harvard’s Athletes in Action, the Co-Chair of the Conservative Coalition at Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics, and former Study Group Liaison for Chief Counsel of the RNC, Matt Raymer. Abby is a past member of Harvard’s Student Government and writes for multiple campus publications. She is currently working as a legal intern in Washington DC.
Evie Edwards
Former NCAA CX Runner; Cyclist
Evie is a former NCAA athlete. She continues to compete at the elite level and has medaled in world, national and regional cycling events. Her multi-state legislative efforts have focused on single-sex protections for females in sports.
Taylor Silverman

Skateboarder
Taylor has been skateboarding for twelve years and competing around the country for several years. In 2022, she began speaking out about her experience competing against males in women’s contests and the impact this has had in skateboarding and many other sports. She currently works for Timcast Media.
Macy Petty
NCAA Women’s
Volleyball
Macy is currently an NCAA volleyball player in college. She now also uses her position as an NCAA volleyball player to fight for sex-based protections in female athletics. Macy spends her time off the volleyball court traveling the country speaking at conferences, rallies, and press conferences. She works to encourage policy makers to stand up for female athletes both at the state and federal level. She has testified on the issue several times and participated in panel discussions and press conferences with Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
Kassidy Comer
NCAA Basketball
Midwestern State University
Kassidy Comer is a 20 year old retired basketball player. She was recruited to play collegiate basketball at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX, a Division II school that is part of the Lone Star Conference. After several years of serious injuries back to back, including two major knee surgeries, Kassidy made the decision to retire. She is still in school, pursuing a degree in law and policy, with an emphasis in public policy, and hopes to continue her endeavors in supporting Christian, conservative policies. Janet Comer will also be in attendance to introduce her daughter Kassidy.

Moms for America® is calling on the U.S. Senate to schedule a vote on H.R. 734, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023. This bill generally prohibits school athletic programs from allowing individuals whose biological sex at birth was male to participate in programs that are for women or girls. Its passage will ensure the gains women have made through Title IX over the past 50 years are not wiped away by misguided political correctness and provide safety for women and girls in locker rooms and other combined places. Every athlete deserves the opportunity to compete, but it must be fair and safe.
