As you build the foundations for your card formations, think about or discuss how important families are to the foundation of America.* Start a book club! For your first book, you could use Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story (Kids Edition/ Revised Kids Edition), Anne of Green Gables, Little Women, or choose your own book with a family/home theme. Discuss this quote with a family member or friend: “There is no doubt that it is around the family and the home that all the greatest virtues, the most dominating virtues of human society, are created, strengthened and maintained.” What examples of this have you heard of or seen? With this quote in mind, what do you want to do differently to strengthen and support families in society and your own family? What makes your family strong? What do you want to do as a parent in the future to build a strong family? In what ways does this quote relate to learning liberty at home?
