Kids 12: Activity Day Outline Preparation: Review the entire outline to consider how best to present the activities to each age group. Cut out the copies of the preamble and American’s Creed to have on hand, or use copies from the previous Activity Day. Bring an American Flag for the Pledge of Allegiance. Request that families learn the song God Bless America in preparation to sing it together on Activity Day. About two weeks before Activity Day invite older kids or each family to prepare a display board with pictures and/or text on “Why I Love America” or “Why I’m Proud to be an American” and ask them to bring it in on Activity Day. Exhibit these during the Activity Day so families and individuals can enjoy looking at the display boards. Depending on which activities your group decides to do for the festival, bring the necessary materials for the activities. Examples: baseball/mitts/bats, strips of material for 3 legged race, potato/other sacks, hula hoops, jump ropes, BBQ/other food, tub and apples, purchased games. Invite everyone to wear red, white, and blue clothes on Activity Day. Print out the list of names for the Patriot Name Game and review the instructions included in the Activity Day Resource pdf. Cut the names out and bring tape or safety pins to attach each name to a child’s back. Have one or more moms coordinate the creation of a “Patriot Binder” for each family in your group, the first four pages are included in the Activity Day Resource pdf. Print a Liberty Warrior Graduation Certificate for each child/youth in your group. Click here: https://momsforamerica.us/get-started/cottage-meetings-for-kids/ to download and print the fillable pdf. When completed, the “Patriot Binders” will include: 1. The (3) “Patriot Binder” intro pages included in the Activity Day Resource pdf. (Have one person print the Patriot Binder pages included in the Activity Day Resource pdf to reflect the name of your group and member families. Give the pages out to all the moms and request that each family bring a 3 ring binder to Activity Day with these pages already inserted.) 2. A filled out copy of “Patriot Binder” page 4 or a picture response from every child. Distribute “Patriot Binder” page 4 to each child, and have them fill in the answers to the two prompt questions (included below) or create a picture response.
