The Decade of Moms for America
Written by Lisa Cummins, Director Education & Policy Content, Moms for America
The race to define the next decade is on! 2020 is already being defined as the Year of the Woman by many women’s groups around the world. However, we need to make it more significant and essential. Starting with the year 2020, the next decade will be completely dependent on the Moms! Why? Because we are the ones that are raising the next generation that will determine if our country succumbs to slavery or thrives in liberty! Will we become complacent and reside to what ever happens, or are we going to take the bull by the horns and Woman Up for our families.
Enough is enough on the assaults on our children, our men, our families, our homes, and our efforts of wanting strong families and successful children. The proverbial village has failed us in every way, and it’s time to stop relying on the broken system.
The Decade of the Mom starts January 1, 2020! Join Moms for America! Because a premium member. Join forces with moms and dads in your communities and across America! We have got to show the world that American Moms have not given up! As a beacon on a hill, the world is dependent on the Republic Motherhood’s hand rocking the Liberty themed cradle!
Jefferson, in a letter to William Stephens Smith, written in Nov. 1787, said “What country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance …“the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
Most, if not all Moms oppose war, but we should and will stand up for our families when duty calls for it! This decade is that time, if possible, to prevent war! Too many sons and daughters have lost their lives for the just cause of liberty! We have a chance to stop it in a civil manner!
But, if as Moms we stay home and do nothing, thinking someone else will do it for us, the tyrannical side wins with injustice. Our children’s future cannot afford that!
Later, in 1824, on the Marquis de Lafayette’s last speaking engagement in Boston, he said “The world should never forget the spot where once stood Liberty Tree, so famous in your annals.”
We have forgotten the Liberty Tree, but no more. Liberty will be revived and heralded across the nation by the Moms of America! From Thomas Paine’s poem entitled Liberty Tree:
“From the east to the west blow the trumpet to arms
Through the land let the sound of it flee,
Let the far and the near, all unite with a cheer,
In defense of our Liberty Tree.”
