MFA: “Shrouding curriculum in secrecy is not good for students, teachers, or parents.”
October 8, 2024 – Moms For America, a nationwide network of hundreds of thousands of moms, issued the following statement today condemning the Michigan Supreme Court’s refusal to overturn a lower court’s ruling shielding the work product of public employees – in this case, public school teachers – from freedom of information requests.
“Effective education requires collaboration between parents and teachers. This insane decision continues a destructive trend of cutting parents out of the educational process, undercutting the spirit of openness and trust that is vital to the success of students.
“Shrouding curriculum in secrecy is not good for students, teachers, or parents. It only serves the interests of activists who seek to politicize the classroom to advance a radical agenda. These activists know that their efforts cannot survive if parents know the truth about the propaganda they are feeding our children, which is why they are fighting so hard to keep us in the dark.
