Fletcher: “Today is the day we saved Title IX for future generations.”
February 5, 2025 – Members of Moms for America, a nationwide network of over 500,000 moms committed to promoting faith, freedom, and family, stood proudly behind President Trump as he signed an executive order banning biological males from participating in women’s sports.
“With this executive order, the war on women’s sports is over,” Trump said immediately before signing the order in front of a crowd of female athletes and MFA members.
“This is an historic day for moms and daughters,” said Kimberly Fletcher, founder and president of MFA. “For years, moms have been asking our elected to protect our daughters and save women’s sports. President Trump is answering our pleas and taking action where others have wavered, and we’re honored to be able to participate in this momentous occasion.”
“From now on, women’s sports will be only for women,” Trump said, noting that “men claiming to be girls have stolen more than 3,500 victories and invaded more than 11,000 competitions designed for women.”
Moms For America has been at the forefront of the fight to protect women’s sports from encroachments by biological males from the very beginning, lobbying their community leaders and elected officials at every level.
In 2023, MFA hosted a press conference in front of the U.S. Capitol asking Congress to pass HR 734, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023, which would have accomplished the same objectives advanced by President Trump’s executive order. Although the legislation passed the House of Representatives, it ultimately died in the Senate.
“Today is the day we saved Title IX for future generations,” Fletcher said. “Women and girls have been treated as second-class citizens by the radical transgender movement, and we’re so grateful to President Trump for having the courage to right this wrong.”
