Moms for America® Statement on Fargo School Board Reinstating the Pledge of Allegiance
Branson, MO – Today, Moms for America® released the following statement after the Fargo School Board in North Dakota reinstated the Pledge of Allegiance in the classrooms after it was voted to be removed by the board previously.
“Battles in the school board like these are exactly why Moms for America launched its ‘Restoring Patriotism’ campaign,” said Debbie Kraulidis, Vice President of Moms for America. “It’s a shame that the Pledge of Allegiance was voted out by the school board in the first place because of the words ‘Under God.’ Reciting the Pledge of Allegiance is one of the most powerful and simplest acts we can do as citizens that unite us all.”
“We want all parents in this country to know that the Restoring Patriotism resources are here for them, should this happen in their children’s schools. In the campaign, we teach why we stand for the flag, and why we recite the Pledge of Allegiance. We teach that America is the greatest country, and that we should respect and honor the God-given blessing of being a citizen of this country.”
“We are grateful to the board members of the Fargo School Board that fought this initiative and brought back the Pledge of Allegiance to the classroom. Moms for America will always stand for the flag, for patriotism, and for our country.”
