WASHINGTON, D.C. – On July 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. ET, Moms for America®, led by President and Founder Kimberly Fletcher, joined Congressman Andy Ogles (R-TN), concerned parents from Tennessee and across the nation, and national leaders at a powerful press conference held at the U.S. Capitol to advance the “Vindication for Parents” movement. The coalition addressed the Biden administration’s alleged misuse of the Department of Justice (DOJ) to target parents advocating for their children’s education, condemning what they describe as a reign of tyranny imposed by power-hungry Democrats. Today, Moms for America calls for accountability to ensure these injustices are neither buried nor forgotten.
The press conference, hosted by Rep. Ogles’ office and streamed live under the title “Vindication for Parents,” showcased Kimberly Fletcher’s unwavering leadership as she stood alongside parents who shared heart-wrenching accounts of how leftist school officials and the DOJ devastated their lives for speaking out at school board meetings. Fletcher, a fierce advocate for parental rights, highlighted the Biden administration’s actions following the September 29, 2021, National School Boards Association (NSBA) letter to President Biden, which labeled parental protests as potential “domestic terrorism.” This led to a now-infamous October 4, 2021, DOJ memorandum from Attorney General Merrick Garland, allegedly resulting in the FBI’s use of a “threat tag” to investigate parents.
“We can never forget the tyranny inflicted on parents who simply wanted the best for their children,” said Kimberly Fletcher. “Yesterday, we stood with brave moms and dads whose lives were upended for exercising their First Amendment rights. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, these parents are beginning to see vindication, and through our ‘Vindication for Parents’ movement, Moms for America is working to ensure such atrocities against American families never happen again.”
Parents at the event shared stories of harassment and investigations they faced for opposing controversial school policies, including divisive curricula and COVID-19 mandates. They expressed gratitude for President Trump’s continued fight to deliver justice and restore parental rights. Fletcher and Rep. Ogles called on the Department of Justice, now led by Attorney General Pam Bondi, to investigate these cases and provide restitution for affected families. They also urged Congress to enact legislation to protect parental rights and prevent future misuse of federal law enforcement against citizens exercising their constitutional freedoms.
“Moms for America is proud to lead the ‘Vindication for Parents’ movement alongside Rep. Ogles and courageous parents nationwide,” Fletcher added. “The mainstream media may want these stories buried, but we will ensure every parent’s voice is heard and respected.”
