Today’s Transgender Culture and Agenda – It’s Worse Than You Think!
If only it was about unicorns and rainbows.
As transgenderism was mainstreamed with drag queens gyrating before children, pronouns pushed hard, and gender lessons in the classroom, we knew it was unhealthy.
It doesn’t take a genius to know that the sexualizing of young children is wrong – and abusive. An adult trying to sexualize a child in the past – would rightly end up in prison.
That is no longer the case.
From the notorious workhouses of old England to the child slaves of Africa and early America to the estimated 10 million minors currently enslaved, throughout history, child abuse has been an evil in our world. Accounts of abuse from previous generations were condemned by modern society. But now, there’s a different take on what is abusive and what’s not. Today’s predatory sexual exploitation of the young has been painted with a glittering rainbow as a segment of our culture seems to be saying, “Yes, please!”
We don’t often hear the word tolerance anymore because that’s no longer a substantial part of the agenda. Aggressive indoctrination in our culture is designed to subtly (but as quickly as possible) shift the norms of family, faith, sexuality, and gender. Occasionally, it’s thrown directly into our faces – (Hey there, Target & Bud Light!) More often, however, it’s been gradual.
Though not a fun topic, we believe it’s important to shine a light on several aspects of today’s transgender culture and agenda. Sadly, it’s probably worse than you think!
A War Against Facts and Truth?
California pastor Jack Hibbs recently preached about “The War of 2024.” In that series, he pointed to a culture war against faith, church, marriage, and, notably, facts and truth.1
Facts used to be the hard and fast, the meat and potatoes of what happened. Journalism leaned into the “5 W’s,” which are “Who,” “What,” “Where,” “When,” and “Why.” Today, these “facts” are run through an ideological filter by brashly partisan journalists, releasing only the snippets of a story that will support a particular narrative. Not necessarily what actually happened, but what you are supposed to believe. (January 6th, anyone?)
It’s striking to watch the news and witness the number of politicians and pundits who feel free to speak untruths. Easily debunked lies. No shame whatsoever. Then, the untrue talking points are repeated ad nauseam in media reports until they become accepted (on some level) as fact.
Truth is falling to a similar onslaught. Throughout human history, a woman has been easily identified. She is someone who has certain reproductive body parts and XX chromosomes. Facts. They point to the truth of the binary biological sexes: man and woman.
“Not so fast,” say transgender activists buoyed by the media, left-leaning politicians, and LGBTQ power brokers.
Transgender Custody Chaos
Custody chaos surrounding gender identity is becoming a more frequent element in courtroom battles. A marriage ends in divorce, and one spouse wants to enable – or even push their child into a transgender or non-binary world of confusion and instability as the other parent desperately looks for any recourse to protect their son or daughter.
Harrison Tinsley tells one such story on our podcast this week. After their breakup, his ex-girlfriend gave birth to their son and eventually made the decision to raise him “non-binary.” At the tender age of three, she would regularly put him in dresses and “princess shoes” – (which aren’t really “non” binary clothing choices). She would post pictures of the cross-dressing toddler on social media. Harrison shares custody, and when his son spends time with his dad, he enjoys life as a rough-and-tumble little boy. During our eye-opening conversation, you can hear the whole story, with the latest on the multi-year legal battle to protect the boy.
Sadly, Harrison’s is but one account, as too many similar situations are easily found online.
Dennis Hannon faced his own transgender custody chaos when he inadvertently discovered his boy was going by a new name, Ruby Rose, in school. The mom was secretly socially transitioning their son, and apparently, the school was in on it, but the dad was kept in the dark. According to Dennis, court discovery revealed that the transition had begun when the boy was only two or three years old.2  Clearly, it was the mother, 100% – since a two-year-old can’t possibly understand the concept of transgenderism. And, with the father not informed, the boy had to switch roles repeatedly, living as Ruby Rose with his mom and at school – and all-boy with his dad. How will this young one ever understand what’s normal – or how to be himself? Life must feel like an ongoing roleplay for him. So sad.
Another heartbreaking story is that of Jeannette Cooper, whose daughter, Sophia, went to her dad’s one day and never came home. Jeannette had primary custody of the 12-year-old; however, one day, everything changed. Suddenly, her ex informed her that her girl had adopted a transgender identity and didn’t feel “safe” with her mom. Jeannette lost custody of Sophia for believing that she was a girl. She only communicates by letter with her beloved daughter, and it’s been three years since she’s seen her.3Â Watching her interview online, the pain in this mom’s story was palpable. It’s a nightmare for any parent.
Big Brother at the Door
In our family, my husband and I announced a few commonsense rules for our kids when they were teens. First, no unusual piercings (ears only), no unnaturally colored hair (no green, pink, or blue), and finally, no tattoos. All of these were banned until they left home and were financially independent.
The truth is, we’re not totally against tattoos or piercings. However, we wanted to save our children from decisions that would permanently alter some part of their bodies while they were young. To us, as adults, if they have the money to blow and want to spend it on a tattoo, we support it! It’s an adult decision. Then, please show me your ink, and I’ll ooh and ahh (providing your new tattoo isn’t misspelled). One of our young adults recently thanked us for those guardrails through her angsty teen years.
By today’s standards, our ideals as parents could’ve cost us our family. Say our daughter (when she was younger) decided to transition and make hormonal/medical changes to her body. Some states could’ve removed her from our home if we disagreed with her desired gender journey.
Schools and gender activists have locked arms against families in favor of gender fluidity for all. Going against all norms, facts, and truth about a child’s need for loving guidance, they use their authority to separate parents from struggling kids, socially transitioning them at school without parental notification.
Abby Martinez lost her daughter Yaeli when Los Angeles County removed her from the home. At 13, she started seeming depressed, and through social media and the influence of classmates, Yaeli decided to transition in the hopes of becoming a boy, Andrew.
A loving mom, Abby couldn’t agree to lie to her girl to support her decision. Eventually, county officials took custody of her and placed her in a group home. Abby was allowed to visit her daughter one hour per week so long as she followed strict guidelines.
In the group home, living her transgender identity, Yaeli/Andrew never found relief from the painful depression that plagued her. Despite that, she received only gender-affirming care with no mental health treatment. The story ended in tragedy when Yaeli/Andrew took her own life by kneeling before an oncoming train.4
Today, Abby contends that the transgender movement took her daughter’s life. She is sharing her story and, with the First Liberty Institute, filed a brief with the Supreme Court of the United States, hoping to help another family facing similar state-sanctioned separation due to the family’s faith-informed view of sexuality.
Many of these cases go unreported, but the ones that are brought to light, like the tragedy of Yaeli Martinez, are heartbreaking.
Packers & Sex Ed for Littles
Sorry to bring this up. Feel free to skip this part if you’d like. I may skip it myself.
Yes, mamas, a San Diego firm, Stitchbug Studio, is selling something called the “Bitty Bug Soft Packer,” which is a crocheted prosthetic penis and testicles that little girls can wear inside their panties, so mom can help with an early transition.5Â It comes in various sizes to make the bulge just right for the age and size of the questioning girl. It comes in colors like pink, barley, hummus, brown, chestnut, black, and varying lengths.
Seriously? After visiting the website, I will never be able to unsee this.
I suppose we shouldn’t be too surprised as we’ve seen schools pushing porn and kids given lessons on sexuality and gender before they should have to think about those things. Along with teachers who feel it’s appropriate to “come out” to their students.
More than teens are targeted with this push to redefine gender – even younger grades feature lessons from the Gender Unicorn and the Genderbread Person, each designed to teach your littles their first lessons about gender fluidity and sexuality.
This whole grooming children thing is a bit much for me. That any mom would swipe a credit card to buy fake “manhood” for their daughters is entirely over the top!
Transgender Ideology’s Broken Promises
It promises happiness.
It promises suicide prevention.
It promises fulfillment and freedom.
The sad truth is that the facts don’t support any of those promises. Each is broken daily, with teens, children, and families paying the highest prices.
If someone is unhappy – top surgery (a double mastectomy) or bottom surgery (removal or addition of male parts and female parts) won’t make them happy in the long run; in fact, many regret that life-altering choice.
Is it a cure for depression?
No. Living a transgender dream where everyone accepts and loves the new you doesn’t cure suicidal ideation. Mental health problems are not cured by gender transition.
As far as fulfillment and freedom are concerned, people who subject themselves to elective mutilating surgeries and hormone treatment are often sterilized by these radical therapies. They can no longer have kids naturally or get back what they lost.
What about the promise of freedom? These victims will be tied to life-long medical treatment to maintain the charade. If they one day change their minds, most of these procedures and drugs have many irreversible consequences.
We don’t hate or disdain strugglers. Each is made with God’s unique, intentional, and beautiful design in their bodies. Where the transgender movement encourages children to reject their biological makeup, the Lord sees each one as intentionally designed, male or female, in His image. They are beloved, precious, and full of purpose.
The transgender agenda is designed to rob individuals of that security and belonging. They dangle a carrot of acceptance; however, to receive it, strugglers must earn the right by changing who they are, rejecting families who love them, to fit an elusive ideal.
Mamas, hold your kids close. Affirm their God-given biological gender and celebrate each one. Protect them, and pray for those who experience the tragedy of the transgender movement.
Note to California Moms: You are Needed!
Protect Kids California needs 500,000 signatures to get their “Protect Kids of California Act of 2024” on the ballot this fall. The act will force California schools to notify parents of any mental or gender challenges discovered in their kids, limit girls’ school sports participation to biological girls, and prohibit gender treatments for minors, ranging from puberty blockers to surgical interventions. Mamas, if you’re in the Golden State, consider this initiative and how you can lend a hand!6
