President Trump’s Dream Team – Who They Are and Why They Were Chosen
PART ONE
Did I miss the inauguration?
It’s like President Trump is already in office. He’s making bids for Greenland, Canada, and reworking the Panama Canal deal. Let’s go!
Our 47th President is already bringing the hope of prosperity and peace back to the USA with positivity and sometimes humor. After the gloom that hung over our land for four years, it’s like a new era has dawned.
And we are so here for it!
In his Art of The Deal style, he’s raised plenty of eyebrows with recent social media posts – leveraging for greater security and resources (Greenland), a secure border and fair trade (Canada), and national security (Panama Canal). Though we don’t know how those ideas will pan out in the end – the implication of a remarkable American comeback is beautiful.
Days ahead of his official start date, President Trump seems at peace, confident – and determined to save America and her citizens.
For the most part, adversaries have watched in stunned (almost) silence, wondering how to reassert themselves after the American people resoundingly voted out their destructive liberal policies. The rapid decline in ratings for the mainstream press illustrated that nobody really believes them anymore – and that they may need to adjust their practices and maybe consider doing actual journalism. They’re throwing out the occasional feckless insult here and there. Still, at least it only annoys right now, like a stubborn fly landing on your plate at a July 4th picnic.
They really don’t get it. But they will.
As CEOs and statesmen worldwide line up to curry favor from the new administration, Trump’s eyes are straight ahead. He’s got a job to do – a massive one, and even he knows it can’t be done alone. That’s why, this time, he’s building a dream team of visionary, experienced, and exceptional players who will helm the agencies and responsibilities to bring Trump’s grand vision to fruition.
President Trump has already tapped more than 140 for key positions in his new administration. We will highlight 15 in this episode, their roles, and why they are uniquely equipped to make their agency or post – great again. Be sure to watch for next week’s article where we will highlight an additional 16!
The Role: Overseeing and directing White House staff, managing the daily agenda for the President. This role also serves as a key communicator, coordinating with all other departments.
Daughter of famed NFL great Pat Summerall, Wiles played key roles in Trump’s 2016 and 2024 campaigns. She will be the first woman to serve as White House Chief of Staff. Intelligent, trusted, and skilled at running a tight ship, Wiles recently promised that she would not abide drama or troublemakers in the West Wing.
Trump called her “tough, smart, innovative” and “universally admired and respected.”
The Role: Advisor to the President on all health-related matters, overseeing public health, insurance, and various health-related issues and agencies.
A son of the Kennedy dynasty, RFK found himself and his ideas to Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) welcome in the Trump camp. A devout Catholic, he shared in a recent interview that he prayed daily for years that he would have an opportunity to help his beloved country through his passion for health, nutrition, and lifestyle. Originally thinking his run for President in 2024 as a Democrat would be the avenue for that goal, his party sabotaged and stifled his candidacy at every turn, refusing to give him access to debate as a legitimate candidate. He boldly moved to break with family political tradition and join forces with President Trump to help our nation discover a healthier path forward.
The Role: The President’s primary foreign affairs advisor, the Secretary of State, plays a vital role in the government by carrying out the President’s foreign policies on the world stage.
Miami native and first-generation Cuban American Marco Rubio brings an impressive resume of foreign policy experience as a Senator. He was the ranking member of the Committee for Foreign Relations and the Select Committee on Intelligence. Additionally, he served as an advisor to President Trump during his first term, showing his depth of knowledge of Latin American issues and international affairs, including passionate support for the US embargo against Cuba and leadership in other global concerns. Upon receiving Trump’s nomination, Rubio stated, “Under the leadership of President Trump, we will deliver peace through strength and always put the interest of Americans and America above all else.”
The Role: Oversees the safety, improvement, and future-minded strategies for America’s transportation system, including roadways, air travel, rails, seaports, bridges, and tunnels.
You may know Sean Duffy from Fox Business where he is a cohost of The Bottom Line. He’s served in the House of Representatives representing Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District and was District Attorney in the city of Ashland. Married to Rachel Campos-Duffy for more than 25 years, the couple have nine children. Trump explained his pick, “Sean will use his experience and the relationships he has built over many years in Congress to maintain and rebuild our nation’s infrastructure and fulfill our mission of ushering in the Golden Age of Travel, focusing on safety, efficiency, and innovation. Importantly, he will greatly elevate the travel experience for all Americans!”
The Role: Oversees the US Department of Education and advises the President on the state of American schools, federal policies, and issues related to American education.
She is a former CEO and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) cofounder. McMahon has long served in leadership, notably during the previous Trump term as the Small Business Administration (SBA) administrator. Trump praised his selection, “As Secretary of Education, Linda will fight tirelessly to expand ‘choice’ to every state in America and empower parents to make the best education decisions for their families.” He added, “Linda will use her decades of leadership experience and deep understanding of both education and business to empower the next generation of American students and workers and make America number one in education in the world. We will send education BACK TO THE STATES, and Linda will spearhead that effort.”
The Role: In addition to representing the United States’ interests in court, offers legal advice to the President, recommends judicial appointments, and oversees the Department of Justice.
Trump likes his pick for US Attorney General – and he’s not alone. One hundred former justice department officials sent a letter to urge senators to confirm Pam Bondi, and their endorsement was one of two notable nods (though there may be more). Sixty plus former attorneys from both sides of the aisle sent their letter asking for the same. Bondi, a former prosecutor who also served as Florida’s Attorney General, should be relatively quickly confirmed and promises to be a welcome relief from the dubious performance of the current anti-Trump outgoing AG, Merrick Garland.
The Role: This newly created post will strategize and carry out the mass deportation of illegal aliens, focusing first on those who have engaged in criminality.
A former border patrol agent and police officer, Homan served the Obama administration and later President Trump. He has voiced a strong commitment to the Trump vision for border security and the removal of illegal aliens, especially those who have come to the US and committed additional crimes. After being nominated, Homan posted on X, “I promised President Trump when he announced that if he goes back, I go back. And I’m going to run the biggest deportation operation this country’s ever seen because these millions of people being released in this country, nine out of 10 will get an order of removal based on immigration court data.”
The Role: Oversees the Department of Defense, creating policy for that agency and advising the President regarding our military and protecting our national interests.
One of the most controversial nominees has turned out to be Pete Hegseth. Some have given credence to unsubstantiated accusations from his past, while others call him inexperienced; however, President Trump’s pick has degrees from Princeton and Harvard, earned two Bronze Stars for his service as an infantry officer in the Army National Guard, serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Guantanamo Bay. Hegseth was the CEO of Concerned Veterans for America and most recently has been a fan favorite on Fox News as cohost of Fox & Friends Weekend, as well as appearing on and hosting many other Fox series. He is the author of seven books, including bestsellers Battle for the American Mind: Uprooting a Century of Miseducation and his most recent, The War on Warriors: Behind the Betrayal of the Men Who Keep Us Free.
The Role: Directs and leads the Federal Bureau of Investigation, America’s federal law enforcement agency.
Another controversial yet highly qualified nominee, Kash Patel, is an attorney, a former federal prosecutor, Chief of Staff to the Department of Defense, Deputy Assistant to the President on the National Security Council, and Deputy Director of National Intelligence. He served the Trump and Obama administrations and has a long and storied background in government, where he saw much corruption and conspiracy in the intelligence community. The title of his most recent book may explain some of the pushback he’s received. It’s a tell-all about what he witnessed, Government Gangsters: The Deep State, The Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy. Let’s just say – it’s made a few people nervous.
“Kash Patel is the most qualified nominee to lead the FBI in the agency’s history and is committed to helping ensure that law, order, and justice will be brought back to our country again, and soon,” said President Trump.
The Role: Leads America’s Central Intelligence Agency, overseeing intelligence collection, analysis, and covert operations to support national security interests. This position reports to the Director of National Intelligence.
No stranger to Washington DC, Ratcliffe served Texas in the US House of Representatives before his time as the Director of National Intelligence in the first Trump administration. Since then, he has been co-chair for the Center for American Security with America First Policy Institute (AFPI). For his visionary and innovative work as “America’s Top Spy,” President Trump awarded him the National Security Medal, which is the highest honor “for distinguished achievement in the field of intelligence and national security.” He is a proven asset with substantial experience to undergird his leadership of the CIA.
The Role: Oversees the entire Intelligence Community, including the CIA, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and the National Security Agency (NSA). Advises the President and others regarding intelligence and establishes agency priorities and protocols.
Over the last year or so, Tulsi Gabbard, a lieutenant colonel in the US Army Reserve, was put on the terror watch list. So, whenever she and her family flew anywhere, she had to submit to lengthy delays, searches, and other inconveniences despite her current service to our nation and her former role as a United States Representative from Hawaii. It was outrageous and inappropriate – presumably, payback of some sort.
Formerly a lifelong Democrat, Gabbard switched parties last year as she found herself at home among freedom-loving Republicans. As the Director of National Intelligence, given her experiences, we can imagine that her influence there will be effective – and long overdue. During a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Jeffrey Sachs called Gabbard “probably the most important appointment of the Trump administration. She is incredibly intelligent, incredibly honest, incredibly committed to US security [and] would do a superb job. That’s why she’s being opposed.”
The Role: Oversees national security with counterterrorism efforts, border security, disaster response and other threats, and the following agencies: ICE, US Coast Guard, US Customs and Border Protection, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, FEMA, US Secret Service, and TSA, among others.
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem isn’t facing her confirmation hearings alone. Accompanying her are glowing endorsements from law enforcement agencies and, this week, from the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF), representing 353,000 firefighters in the US and Canada. The letter from IAFF General President Edward Kelly was sent to senators, stating, in part, “We support President Trump’s nomination of Governor Kristi Noem for Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. As a Governor, nominee Noem understands emergency management and the importance of government response to emergencies, both natural and man-made.”
Most agree that Noem exercised decisive leadership in her state during the pandemic and, since then, has ordered several National Guard deployments to aid border security in Texas. She has shown an understanding and commitment to the need to solve our border crisis.
- Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Counterterrorism – Dr. Sebastian Gorka
The Role: A dual role, as Deputy Assistant to the President, aids in communication between agencies, other government officials, and the office of the President. It also plays a key advisory role in counterterrorism efforts.
Trump tapped his trusted former White House advisor to join him again in Washington, D.C. Â Also, a Fox News contributor, Gorka is an outspoken advocate for Trump’s agenda. Gorka, a well-known and respected political commentator, is featured on Salem Radio Network and Newsmax. He also authored several books, including Why We Fight: Defeating America’s Enemies with No Apologies and The War for America’s Soul.
Trump wrote about this pick, “Dr. Sebastian Gorka will be returning to the White House as Deputy Assistant to the President, and Senior Director for Counterterrorism. Since 2015, Dr. Gorka has been a tireless advocate for the America First Agenda and the MAGA Movement, serving previously as Strategist to the President in the first Trump Administration.”
The Role: Spokesperson for the White House, hosts daily media briefings about Presidential activities and agenda, and communicates answers on his behalf regarding topics in the news.
The youngest press secretary in history at 27, Leavitt served the President’s campaign as the National Press Secretary, earning her high marks from her boss in a recent press release announcing her nomination, ” Karoline is smart, tough, and has proven to be a highly effective communicator. I have the utmost confidence she will excel at the podium and help deliver our message to the American people as we Make America Great Again.”
She is also a new mom who had her son days before the Trump assassination attempt near Butler, Pennsylvania. Seeing footage of the moment the President almost lost his life, she quickly returned to serve the campaign despite her recent delivery.
The Role: Brand new department to cut waste and streamline agencies. It’s the most talked about initiative, though many planned efforts will be revealed in the coming months.
This is where the fun begins. Though Ramaswamy and Musk won’t be official cabinet members, their influence could reshape much of our government through their expertise in streamlining thousands of bloated agencies. In the 1960s, there were a few hundred thousand career bureaucrats. That number has exploded, with three million on staff today.
The duo has voiced several ideas involving bringing employees back to the office, mandating that they work in person instead of remotely. They have even floated the idea of moving certain agencies to other regions of the US – thinning the herd in D.C.
Currently the wealthiest man in the world with a net worth of over $400 billion, Elon Musk heads Space X, Tesla, Inc., and X Corp, among his business interests. He’s become close friends with President Trump and his family – earning the unofficial title “First Buddy.”
Vivek Ramaswamy is an accomplished entrepreneur, author, and politician. He founded a multi-billion-dollar biopharmaceutical company, Roivant Sciences, among other endeavors. He also ran for President as the youngest individual to attempt it before suspending his campaign and joining President Trump. Ramaswamy’s book Woke, Inc.: Inside the Social Justice Scam became a Sunday Times Business Book of the Year, and his latest bestseller is Truths: The Future of America First.
If you’ve made it this far – God bless you! There are so many more interesting nominations. Way too many to dig into here. From Mike Huckabee, Mark Burnett (creator of The Apprentice, Survivor, Shark Tank, The Voice), Dr. Oz, Monica Crowley, and Alina Habba to football great Herschel Walker – each tells an interesting story – and has an equally intriguing job ahead.
Confirmation hearings begin next week – so stay tuned and get ready to celebrate big on January 20th. God bless America!
