10 Awful Ideas Democrats Cling to No Matter How Much It Hurts Them

I just don’t get it.

It feels like the Democratic Party needs some sort of intervention.

 After a crushing defeat in November, they seem stuck in a swirling decline. Some might even call it an extinction vortex. The stuff they are trying – the chanting, the singing, Texas house members hiding in blue states, and Gavin Newsom trying to channel Trump on social media. It’s awkward.

Since losing all the swing states to the groundswell of Americans who actually want America to be great again, it seems Democrats are trying whatever comes to mind. They’ve started to cuss more. Representatives have embarrassingly posted themselves dancing or echoing cringey slogans on TikTok. They seem to think they lost over persona rather than policy. They tried calling President Trump by the nickname “Taco.” Which I guess stands for “Trump always chickens out.”  

But, does Trump “chicken out?”

It doesn’t seem so. In a few short months, the Trump administration has:

• Closed the border.
• Begun mass deportation of non-citizen criminals, with another 1.6 million illegal aliens self-deporting.
• Decreased inflation and lowered prices for gas and goods.
• Brokered six peace deals with more in the works.
• Projected $300 billion in tariff revenue for 2025, with $150 billion already collected.
• Negotiated pledges for $8.1 trillion in US and foreign investment in America.
• Reached and exceeded military recruitment goals.
• Welcomed hostages home from around the world.
• Begun cleaning up rampant crime in Washington, DC.
• Obliterated a stronghold of Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
• Signed a Big, Beautiful Bill to lower taxes, end tax on tips, and give seniors a sizable tax break.

That’s not all, but it’s definitely a new era in our nation after four years of decline. My point is that to be faithfully anti-Trump (a key to the Democrat worldview), you have to also be against all these good things, even as everyday American voters are cheering.

Democrats have an image problem, made worse by weird, attempted imitations of Trump’s bravado. More than that, they have an authenticity problem and seem to have learned nothing from their big loss. Instead of rethinking ideas and looking for where they might moderate to possibly welcome back voters, they seem determined to double down on the bad ideas that earned them a historic walloping at the polls. Here are ten awful ideas that they hold white-knuckled despite the damage done to their brand (in no particular order).

1. Crime in America’s Not So Bad

If you’ve watched the news, you’ve heard a little about Washington, DC’s crime problem. They have one of the highest murder rates in the US and the world. In recent days, a little 3-year-old girl named Honesty was senselessly gunned down. Carjacking has been rampant, along with other violent crimes and property crimes. Trump is taking action to clean up our beautiful capital city once and for all. And somehow Democrats are against it.

Around the nation, especially in blue cities, local governments have turned a blind eye to many criminal acts over the last few years, including California allowing thieves $900 in loot with no criminal penalty.

The Democratic stance seems to be that crime’s not so bad, in DC and around the nation. They condone the cooking of the numbers to make it appear (on paper) that crime is down, but residents live a different truth. To spin the facts further and avoid the hard work of law enforcement, Dem-friendly media pundits even try to point the finger at red cities, claiming their crime is worse. As a party, they have defended rapists and murderers who are illegal aliens in the hope of tarnishing Trump’s successful image. The problem for them is that the American people aren’t stupid. They see the crime, and they want more police and safety.

Dems stand determined to defy common sense. Voters, however, are not.

 2. LGBTQ+ Everywhere, All the Time

So many have paid a price for the left’s determination to push LGBTQ everywhere, all the time. Target saw its stock plummet as moms boycotted their brash Pride Month push a couple of years ago. (Remember the girls’ swimsuits that included a place to tuck things that females don’t have?) Disney continued to face backlash financially from their woke agenda promoted as family fare, and Bud Light lost its top spot in the beer world with their unfortunate choice of flamboyant drag queen Dylan Mulvaney to hock their brew. Other drag queens hosted children’s story times at schools and libraries, and parents were expected to go along with it.

Boys and men (masquerading as females) in sports began beating girls badly with their biological advantage, and most Americans, regardless of party, believed it to be wrong. Voters made their views known at the polls last November, but Democrats seem undeterred.

As families stood for traditional values, instead of reconsidering their wildly unpopular stance, Democrats seem hopelessly devoted to this issue. They want the LGBTQ agenda pushed in our schools and on our teams. And despite the views of Americans, liberals and leftists seem to think they know better.

3. We Support Terrorist Causes with Lots of Bad Singing

Many of us watched in disbelief after the atrocities of October 7th, when we saw so many formerly fresh-faced American college students don keffiyehs and chant for the death of the Jewish people. They held rallies and intimidated Jewish students in a startlingly un-American display.

Since then, the protest industry boomed as activists-for-hire took to the streets decrying Trump’s win, shocking revelations of waste and fraud in government, and eventually targeting tech-billionaire and DOGE mastermind, Elon Musk. Protesters have been documented as paid participants, which explains the inauthentic feel of their flavor-of-the-day protests.

Democrats seem to embrace an antisemitic stance and any protest targeting Trump or his agenda. The thinking, I suppose, may be that if you have a lot of people gathered, you’ll sway public opinion. However, what they seem to forget is that the American people care about policy. Distortions about Israel and Gaza only go so far, and keying Teslas with swastikas sort of falls flat.

Then there’s the singing. Somebody, help us. The singing. This all hearkens back to the protests from the ‘60s and ‘70s; however, those protesters weren’t paid, and fact check me on this – but I think the singing was a little better, too.

4. Climate Change is Real and Will Kill Us All

 Not that long ago, they were crowing about a world “catastrophe” in a few short years. To be precise, nine. That dire prediction was made in 2021 by John Kerry. Before that, Al Gore made it a thing with his deeply flawed “documentary” in 2006, terrifying young and old who succumbed to the indoctrination.

Remember Greta Thunberg glaring daggers during the first Trump term, as she cried, “How dare you!”? (Most recently, she sought a new spotlight with Hamas. Sailing toward the conflict, Thunberg was immediately turned back by Israeli forces. Points for trying, though.)

Earlier this year, when activists and politicians tried to take down the most successful electric car manufacturer, Tesla, their insincerity came into sharp focus. There’s not as much money in climate stuff right now, though we know Dems aren’t done with climate alarmism. You do you, I suppose.

Meanwhile, Americans still love their cars, trucks, and SUVs.

5. The Centrality of Abortion

They are the undisputed party of abortion. Killing little ones before birth is a cornerstone of the Democratic policy platform. They punctuated that point by ending lives in their mobile abortion van during the Democratic Convention. It was sick.

Americans are split on the issue, with a slight majority favoring legal abortions on some level. That changes, however, when it comes to later abortions, as only 22% support the gruesome practice of late terminations (third trimester). A healthy majority of Americans, crossing party lines, oppose taxpayers’ funding the practice.

For Dems, though, abortion rights are almost a religion. As Americans juggle a wider variety of issues like inflation, public safety, education, health, and concerns about potential future war, they can’t relate to the centrality of this one issue for the left. For Dems, it’s an undisputed necessity to be pro-taxpayer-funded abortion, throughout the entire pregnancy, for any reason at all.  Sixty-five million lives have been sacrificed on this Democratic altar. It’s barbaric and tragic.

6. Socialism’s Okay, and Tax Cuts and Tariffs are Bad

When my middle girl was in high school, she told me that her teacher taught socialism as a positive option for a society. “It sounds pretty good,” she explained to me, “people help each other out.”  Um. Not exactly.

My daughter understands now; however, many young adults in America were never taught the truth of socialism, communism, or capitalism, for that matter. So, when a guy like Zohran Mamdani comes along, dancing on social media and telling Gen Z’rs how cheap everything will be in his socialist utopia with him as mayor of the Big Apple, they just believe. After all, he seems pretty nice (to them) and is willing to go shirtless online. What could possibly go wrong?

Ah, New York, help us help you.

Democrats would have us believe that it would’ve been better not to have the Trump tax cuts. Really?

They swore that tariffs would strangle our economy, but now that program is awash in cash. Still, they cling to the belief that all Trump has brought to the economy (like lower prices and billions in revenue and corporate investments) is bad, meaning what? Was the Biden economy better?

Again, Americans are not stupid. Socialism, high taxes, and “green new deals” are not good policies and are now thoroughly discredited by present realities. Still, Democrats seem married to such bad ideas.

7. The Border Should Be Open and Illegals Given Amnesty

Maybe they don’t state it that way, but all evidence points to this ridiculously awful idea.

When Biden took office, do you remember what it was like when the borders were instantly opened? Fox News was about the only outlet filming the hordes flooding into our nation. Biden and Harris acted as if it wasn’t happening, and their surrogates stated that the border was secure. Meanwhile, left-leaning media turned a blind eye, carrying water for their Dem bosses. It was surreal.

I thought, are they really going to pretend we can’t see this? Then the truth became clear: They ARE.

They lied, dodged, and denied their strategy to flood our nation with potential new voters. They flew them deep into states throughout the country and provided money, lodging, and food. Or should I say, taxpayers like you and I provided it, without consent.

Estimates suggest nearly 20 million have entered.

Now, with the voters’ clear mandate, the Trump administration has begun a methodical and determined effort to deport many of them, starting with the “worst first.”

The Democratic strategy is to fight every element of the deportation efforts despite the wishes of Americans, even their own constituents. The craziest part of their plan has been to defend hardened criminals, abusers, murderers, and traffickers. Exhibit A: the “Maryland Dad,” MS-13 gang member, whom they fought tooth and nail to keep. Who wouldn’t want him living next door?

They are wrong on this issue, but they can’t seem to help themselves.

8. Woke Education Rules and Parents are Poison

The last few years have revealed a plethora of bad ideas in education. Let’s see, Critical Race Theory, The Gender Unicorn, and other gender lessons for little kids, graphic pornography in schools, gender transitions for students behind parents’ backs, and let’s not forget the drag queens. What education would be complete without a man with two-inch eyelashes in a revealing red dress with a feather boa reading to your 2nd grader?

At the same time that we started to realize bad things were happening in our schools, educators began flexing their muscles to try to shut out parents. Some claimed that moms and dads who wouldn’t help their child explore an alternative sexuality or gender were “unsafe.” Institutions, counselors, and officials lied to parents, assuring them that if they didn’t do these unnatural drug and medical interventions, their child would kill themselves. It was a crime against these vulnerable kids and families – and they got away with it.

Then they unleashed transgender athletes, biological males, to compete against our girls, depriving them of opportunities to win, earn athletic scholarships, and, in some cases, putting them in danger.

President Trump has made strides to remove some of this from our schools and athletics; however, Democrats still love and worship at the altar of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and many who taught CRT and more still hold positions in the classroom.

America seems to agree with 47’s war against DEI; however, Dems can’t seem to pivot. Instead, they seem determined to hold tight to these losing ideas.

9. Absolutism – You Must Agree with Us

Remember the old “Coexist” stickers? If you live in a town with lots of Toyota Priuses or Subarus – you know the one I mean. I never liked those stickers because they weirdly implied that we were not already coexisting as varied religions. The reason I mention that concept is that Americans used to sort of agree to disagree, and it was fine.

You might disagree with me politically or socially, but we could still hang out.

The new far-left Democratic mindset does not allow for peaceful coexistence. If we disagree about CRT, then I’m racist. If I think the border should be closed and our sovereignty protected, I’m xenophobic. If I promote health, I’m ableist or fatphobic. If I don’t want a drag queen shaking their business in front of my 5-year-old, a green-haired librarian may call me homophobic.

In the leftist world, there’s a name that can be slapped on someone for any different opinion. This is a terrible idea because how can we ever come together if we can’t cordially disagree?

It’s a tenet of Democratic ideology. Absolutism. You cannot just tolerate differences – you must change your views and agree fully with what they are doing.

10. Family, Faith, and Patriotism is a Dog Whistle for White Supremacists

This one makes my eyes roll. I can’t help it.

Some in the Democratic Party think the swelling patriotism in our nation is a bad thing. Whenever Donald Trump hosts a fireworks display or raises a new flag or celebrates a historic American hero, it’s considered a dog whistle for white supremacy.

When the President hosted the US Army’s 250th birthday, it was a spectacular all-American celebration. So much speculation had been made in the media about its nefarious meaning and the dark motives behind it that when a mainstream (liberal) reporter was on the ground, he sounded stunned as he reported back during a newscast that it was a surprisingly light-hearted, wholesome, and enjoyable tribute to our nation. It’s hard for them to grasp. We do actually love America. It’s a thing.

Really, who are these “white supremacists” because I’ve never met one? It’s a ludicrous accusation that lands like the cowboy in the old westerns who runs out of bullets, so he throws his gun.

Another stunningly bad idea.

I mentioned earlier that an intervention might be in order.

On second thought, no.

To my Democratic friends, carry on. You’re doing a great job. Stay the course.

Will the Democratic Party ever return to relevance and reasonable discourse? Maybe. Until then, mama’s, don’t listen to the bad ideas Democrats seem determined to sell, and don’t hesitate to protect your kids, raise your flag, and love your country. As moms who are raising a new generation of young patriots, we must hold to the truth of our history and the present, with hope for a bright future in America.
